LANTITE Information and Resources
LANTITE stands for the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Students.
It is designed to assess initial teacher education students’ personal literacy and numeracy skills to ensure teachers are well equipped to meet the demands of teaching. It is also hoped that the introduction of the LANTITE will assist higher education providers, teacher employers and the general public to have increased confidence in the skills of graduating teachers.
The LANTITE is a national requirement for graduation from all teacher education courses from 1 July 2016. Students are expected to have completed these tests (two components) and met the standard in order to graduate from their Curtin University ITE course.
