Hi, and welcome to Time Management.
So you want to know how to manage your time? Well, the key word here is ‘your’. And before you continue, I want to let you into a little secret; in fact, 2 big secrets! Firstly, there is no such thing as time management. Don’t run away! You’re not wasting your time here. Please hear me out. In this program, I’m going to take you through some steps of self-management. No-one can manage time: time waits for no man (or woman); time is constant; and time is fleeting. If you think you can manage time, please contact me.
Don’t despair, because you can manage something far more important: yourself. So there’s my first tip, and this program will help you do it.
Secondly, can I hear you saying: ‘there’s not enough time'; ‘time is running out'; ‘time goes too fast’? Instead, please ask yourself: How much time do I really have? Where is time running to? Can I really measure its speed? The answers are: ‘there is enough time’, depending on what you do with it, ‘and it’s not going anywhere’, unless you let it. Therefore, from now on, I would like you to start saying, ‘there is time’ and asking yourself, ‘what am I going to do in this time allotment’?
I started by telling you that the key word is ‘your'; that’s because this program is about you and what you choose to do in an allocated space that we call time.
By the end of this program, you’ll have had the opportunity to think about how you perceive time and how you fill it!
Please enjoy working through this online resource. And do give us your feedback by completing the survey at the end of the program.
