Read the following passage and decide which of the terms defined below best describes it as a form of thinking and style of writing.

Taylor (2015, p.) notes that “In a report released in February, the National Health and Medical Research Council concluded that ‘there is currently no consistent evidence that windfarms cause adverse health effects in humans’, backing scores of other scientific studies.” Therefore, it is fair to say that in the context of ongoing debates about establishing the most appropriate level for the Renewable Energy Target (RET), claims about the health risks of windfarms are at best exaggerated - and at worst, striking examples of ideologically motivated pseudo-science.
